Prohibition of catching crayfish during the second molt
Any fisherman may have a question: “What is the second molt?” Are you interested? Then for you my curious answer is this: an adult cancer usually part with his house only once a year, and here it is impossible to invent a bicycle. Only young cancers can change their bodies more than once a year. And then who are the young cancer interested in …
But! The water we have in Ukraine and in the autumn, and in some places in the summer it happens with a temperature of 10-12 degrees Celsius. For the reproduction of cancer, these are ideal conditions – a fact. Therefore, the right fisherman should not interfere in such rare periods of a life of a river cancer.
As for the actual molting process, this is the most terrible moment in his life. Somewhere you could read that after cancer has thrown off the body, cancer is scary. And after the body gets its lime house again, the cancer becomes happy, because the river cancer can be happy!
But let us return to the topic of this event and consider the ban on the catch of cancer during the second molt in numbers. It lasts from July 15 to October 19. The action begins in Zhytomyr and Kiev regions, where the ban begins to operate from the middle of July. The last day of the action is October 19. Residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region can catch crayfish only after this day. It should be noted that in each region of Ukraine the period of the ban on catching crayfish is individual. For example: in the Zaporozhye region, the ban lasts only 32 days, from August 14 to September 15, and in Zhitomir region, cancer can not be caught 52 days. From July 15 to September 5!
